Album Notes & Community Reviews

Bob James' second solo album for CTI Records is a masterful synthesis of classical themes and smooth jazz-funk fusion. Most notably featuring 'Take Me to the Mardi Gras', the highly atmospheric and eclectic production became an incredibly fertile source of foundational drum breaks for early hip-hop producers.
