Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as her debut as a bandleader, 'Flute-In' introduces a remarkably fluid, melodic approach to the jazz flute heavily anchored in rhythm and blues. The production utilizes lush, laid-back studio arrangements that sit comfortably in the pocket of early seventies soul jazz. The record effectively launched a highly successful career that would heavily influence the crossover jazz-funk movement.
