Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released at the very precipice of the international Bossa Nova craze, Bola Sete's 'Bossa Nova' showcases his phenomenal, highly rhythmic acoustic guitar technique. The album blends the delicate, syncopated rhythms of his native Brazil with the improvisational freedom he had honed playing in American jazz clubs. Sete's intricate fingerpicking style profoundly influenced the adoption of Brazilian music by West Coast jazz musicians.
