Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Kaxexe' is a landmark of Angolan semba by Bonga, born Jos茅 Adelino Barcel贸 de Carvalho, the defining voice of the genre since his exile-era classics of the independence struggle. The album was reissued for the American market the following year, extending the reach of a singer France would later honour as a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters.
