Will Oldham teams up with virtuoso instrumentalists Nathan Salsburg and Tyler Trotter for a profoundly hypnotic, radically re-interpreted pair of Lungfish covers stretched into album-length mantras. The incredibly soft, acoustic avant-folk arrangements rely on endless, meditative repetition to induce a deeply spiritual, trance-like state. It is a brilliantly subtle, wonderfully collaborative exercise in acoustic minimalism and vocal devotion.
