Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Sweet Forgiveness' captures Bonnie Raitt at a commercial turning point, refining her earthy blues foundations into a highly polished, radio-friendly soft rock format. The album is anchored by her gritty, definitive cover of Del Shannon's 'Runaway', which became a significant chart success. The tight studio musicianship and Raitt's signature slide guitar work perfectly encapsulate the burgeoning heartland rock sound.
