Album Notes & Community Reviews

Taking a stark departure from their progressive black metal roots, 'Origin' is an entirely acoustic endeavor that highlights Borknagar's deep connection to Nordic folk music. The sweeping orchestrations rely on flute, strings, and commanding clean vocal harmonies to deliver its epic themes. It stands as a majestic, unplugged detour in the band's catalog.
