Album Notes & Community Reviews

Introducing ICS Vortex on lead vocals, the Norwegian ensemble's third album significantly shifted their sound away from traditional black metal toward sweeping, progressive folk-metal grandeur. The intricate guitar work and soaring, operatic vocal performances established a highly melodic, epic template that heavily influenced the future of avant-garde extreme metal.
