Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Le Roman de Fauvel' sets music woven around Gervais du Bus's satirical poem of corrupt church and state, whose fallow horse Fauvel embodies the vices of his age, in a performance by the Boston Camerata with Ensemble Project Ars Nova. Directed by Joel Cohen, the programme features Anne Az茅ma and Dominique Visse as narrators across sixty-six minutes of ars nova polyphony and monody.
