Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Mike Chapman, the final full-length from the Malcolm McLaren-assembled group slightly softens their frenetic tribal-punk sound. 'When the Going Gets Tough...' incorporates polished synthesizers and accessible new wave pop hooks while retaining Matthew Ashman's twangy guitar work and Annabella Lwin's charismatic vocals. The album yielded the hit 'Do You Wanna Hold Me?' before the band imploded.
