The New York duo's debut full-length utilized immense, incredibly slow-moving waves of heavily distorted guitar feedback anchored by deeply hypnotic, minimal bass lines. Completely abandoning traditional song structures, the lethargic, deeply textured drones blur the line between American shoegaze and pure dark ambient music. The incredibly loud, isolating recording established them as a crucial, uniquely abrasive force within the Kranky label roster.
