Completely shedding the heavily distorted, guitar-driven drone of their earlier post-rock work, the duo embraced incredibly sleek, late-night trip-hop rhythms on their final album. 'Lushlife' relies heavily on crisp electronic drum loops, cinematic string samples, and breathy, detached vocals to craft a distinctly urban, noir-tinged atmosphere.
