Written in the aftermath of family tragedy and the near-dissolution of their relationship, the electronic duo delivers an incredibly tense, menacing sophomore album. The record relies entirely on pulsating, minimal EBM drum machine loops, aggressive synthesizers, and Jae Matthews's detached, whispered vocal deliveries. It became a defining, hyper-kinetic staple within underground goth and dark techno club spheres.
