Following his departure from The Motors, Bram Tchaikovsky (the band led by the similarly named frontman) released their sophomore album of taut, guitar-driven power pop. 'The Russians Are Coming' blends the melodic jangle of 1960s pop with the urgent, punchy production of the new wave era. Although it failed to yield a massive commercial hit, it is highly regarded by aficionados of British power pop.
