Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Killers frontman utilizes his second solo record to fully embrace unabashed 1980s pop maximalism. Produced by Ariel Rechtshaid, 'The Desired Effect' heavily incorporates sparkling synthesizers, brass sections, and massive, stadium-ready choruses. The album's earnest, uplifting energy perfectly marries the nostalgic bombast of heartland rock with pristine contemporary pop craftsmanship.
