Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Frank Dostal, the quartet's second album pairs original songs with interpretations of traditional Yiddish material across fourteen tracks, framed by 'Berlin Overture' and 'Berlin 1990', written as the Berlin Wall fell. Founding member Joel Rubin had departed before the sessions, leaving Michael Alpert, Alan Bern, Kurt Bjorling and Stuart Brotman, and the record won a German Record Critic Prize.
