Album Notes & Community Reviews

The sophomore effort from the Los Angeles quartet fundamentally defined the incredibly lucrative soft-rock radio format of the ensuing decade. Propelled by the massive success of David Gates's pristine, sentimental acoustic ballad 'Make It with You', the album showcases immaculate vocal harmonies and highly polished studio production. The release successfully bridged the lingering folk-rock sensibilities of the sixties with an impeccably smooth commercial pop sheen.
