Album Notes & Community Reviews

Graduating from the New York anti-folk underground, the acerbic singer-songwriter delivered her major-label debut with gritty, unpolished defiance. 'Epiphany in Brooklyn' pairs her ragged acoustic strumming and snarling vocal delivery with driving, full-band alternative rock arrangements. The record perfectly captures the cynical, literate angst of the early 90s East Coast folk-punk scene.
