Album Notes & Community Reviews

Aided immensely by the production of Nick Gravenites and contributions from the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia, the midwestern folk-rock duo achieved massive, unexpected crossover success with this release. The record perfectly captures the laid-back, harmony-rich essence of cosmic American music, famously propelled by the highly controversial, drug-referencing smash hit 'One Toke Over the Line'. It stands as a definitive document of the era's transition from folk to rootsy country-rock.
