Album Notes & Community Reviews

Conor Oberst and company return with an intensely anxious, highly dense collection of sprawling indie rock and alt-country anthems. Showcasing pristine, lush production, the lyricism remains fiercely introspective, occasionally dipping into pointed, anti-religious anger and deep-seated sadness. The record serves as a wildly melodic, emotionally exhausting continuation of their storied Midwestern legacy.
