Album Notes & Community Reviews

Collaborating closely with arranger Jean-Claude Vannier and songwriter Jacques Higelin, the avant-garde French vocalist delivered a delightfully bizarre and theatrical pop album. Fontaine's unique, deadpan delivery and sharply surreal lyrics are perfectly framed by unconventional orchestrations, offering a highly eccentric, deeply sarcastic twist on traditional French Chanson.
