Album Notes & Community Reviews
Bring Me The Horizon's debut album, 'Count Your Blessings', is a raw and aggressive touchstone of the mid-2000s deathcore scene. The record is characterized by its blend of Swedish-style melodic death metal riffs, harsh, guttural vocals from frontman Oli Sykes, and an abundance of heavy breakdowns. While its unpolished production and lyrical themes were typical of the genre at the time, the album established the band's initial sound, which they would pointedly evolve away from on subsequent releases.
