Album Notes & Community Reviews

Douglas McCombs' long-running instrumental project incorporates an expanded ensemble featuring prominent brass and woodwind contributions. Moving away from the stark minimalism of their earlier work, the compositions embrace a lush, cinematic quality akin to classic film scores and spacious post-rock. The resulting soundscape is deeply tranquil, characterized by deliberate pacing and rich, melodic interplay.
