Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at the New Orleans House in Berkeley, California, this incendiary performance captures the fiery Chicago guitarist successfully breaking into the burgeoning West Coast psychedelic rock market. Backed by a fiercely tight rhythm section and a punchy horn arrangement, his aggressive, distortion-heavy solos and impassioned vocal delivery deeply influenced a generation of emergent blues-rock guitar heroes, effectively launching his career outside traditional blues circles.
