Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following his brief, blistering tenure with Jimi Hendrix in the Band of Gypsys, the powerhouse drummer and vocalist stepped out with an explosive solo triumph. Built around the universally recognizable, relentlessly funky title track, the record perfectly synthesized driving rhythm and blues, heavy psych-rock, and searing soul vocals.
