Album Notes & Community Reviews
As a formidable talent often operating in the shadow of his contemporaries, the saxophonist delivered a blistering, high-energy statement of early 1970s jazz fusion for Mainstream Records. The heavily rhythmic, funk-oriented tracks are punctuated by fiery, avant-garde improvisations, showcasing an incredibly tight backing ensemble that included notable figures like Joanne Brackeen.
