Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Little Wheel Spin and Spin' finds Buffy Sainte-Marie expanding her folk repertoire with complex string arrangements and deeply piercing, vibrato-laden vocals. The album balances intimate, traditional-sounding ballads with fiery, highly articulate protest songs addressing Indigenous rights and contemporary political hypocrisy. Her profound lyrical directness solidified her as one of the most important voices of the 1960s folk revival.
