Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving at the height of the alternative rock boom, 'Sixteen Stone' achieved massive commercial success in the United States despite a polarized critical reception in the band's native UK. The album polished the loud-quiet dynamics and angst-ridden vocal style of the Seattle sound for a broader radio audience, defining the first wave of post-grunge.
