Album Notes & Community Reviews
The debut full-length from the Butthole Surfers is a terrifying, highly chaotic plunge into abrasive noise rock and drug-fueled, avant-garde psychedelia. The band aggressively assaults the listener with heavily distorted guitars, tape manipulation, and Gibby Haynes's manic, highly vulgar vocal performances. It is a deeply surreal, dissonant, and raw touchstone of the American punk underground.
