My Ghosts Go Ghost

Album Notes & Community Reviews

As the debut from By Storm, the duo of rapper RiTchie and producer Parker Corey reformed from Injury Reserve, 'My Ghosts Go Ghost' continues their experimental hip-hop trajectory with a more conversational and less abrasive approach than its predecessor. The album's abstract production, developed through live performances, features fractured breakbeats, unexpected pauses, and layers of harp and saxophone to create a sound that is both demanding and beautiful. RiTchie's stream-of-consciousness lyrics explore themes of financial instability, grief, and the pressures of touring, complemented by a guest appearance from rapper Billy Woods.
