Album Notes & Community Reviews

Deeply inspired by a transformative visit to Nigeria and the FESTAC '77 pan-African festival, the Brazilian luminary infuses his sophisticated MPB sound with vibrant West African rhythms. The record stands as a vibrant celebration of cross-cultural Afro-diasporic musical connections, blending his signature acoustic songwriting with driving, syncopated funk and J霉j煤 grooves. It marked a crucial rhythmic evolution in his post-Tropic谩lia catalog.
