Album Notes & Community Reviews
Bolstered by the addition of formidable Cuban percussionists Mongo Santamaria and Willie Bobo, the vibraphonist fully commits to an aggressive, polyrhythmic Latin jazz session. The vibrant interplay between his cool, floating mallet lines and the blistering, dense percussion underneath created a highly influential blueprint for the West Coast Latin scene.
