Album Notes & Community Reviews

Pivoting momentarily away from his Afro-Cuban pursuits, the vibraphonist tackles a straight-ahead bop set on 'Tjader Plays Tjazz'. The ringing, metallic clarity of his mallets drives a series of brisk, hard-swinging arrangements anchored by a propulsive West Coast rhythm section.
