Album Notes & Community Reviews
The debut album by Cali Agents, the duo of Rasco and Planet Asia, 'How the West Was One' was recorded at Darcman Studios in Oakland with production from Madlib, Paul Nice and others. A document of West Coast boom bap and hardcore hip hop, it sets dense sampling and battle-oriented lyricism against the region's prevailing mainstream production.
