Album Notes & Community Reviews
Larry Blackmon's funk collective Cameo continued their dominance of the R&B charts with 'Cameosis', heavily transitioning towards a more synthesized, early 1980s aesthetic. The album retains the tight, muscular horn arrangements of their 1970s output while integrating heavier, robotic bass grooves. It yielded the massive funk anthem 'Shake Your Pants', solidifying their reputation as dancefloor innovators.
