Album Notes & Community Reviews

Larry Blackmon guides his funk ensemble into the heavily synthesized, drum-machine-driven era with immense commercial success. 'She's Strange' features the massive title track, which seamlessly blends quirky, urban R&B storytelling with infectious, mechanical grooves. The album solidified the group's transition from 1970s organic funk to the cutting edge of 1980s dancefloors.
