Album Notes & Community Reviews
Pivoting sharply into the heavily sequenced, drum-machine-oriented sounds of the mid-80s, the veteran funk ensemble achieved staggering commercial dominance. The infectious, synthesized grooves are perfectly anchored by Larry Blackmon's eccentric vocal delivery, resulting in a quintessential artifact of 1980s R&B crossover.
