Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking the crucial introduction of vocalist George 'Corpsegrinder' Fisher following Chris Barnes's departure, the band's fifth full-length significantly elevated their technical precision. Fisher's relentlessly guttural, rapid-fire performance perfectly matched the lightning-fast, ultra-violent riffing. Despite heavy censorship surrounding its graphic artwork, it made history by becoming the very first death metal record to enter the Billboard 200 chart.
