Album Notes & Community Reviews
Stepping out from his role as the chaotic bassist and guitarist for The Damned, the punk icon delivered a shockingly polished and immensely successful solo debut. Produced by Tony Mansfield, the album heavily utilizes synthesizers and drum machines to craft quirky, heavily arranged new wave pop. It notoriously yielded the UK number one smash hit cover of 'Happy Talk' from the musical South Pacific.
