On 'Meta', Car Bomb delivers a disorienting and technically furious expression of mathcore, defined by machine-gun riffs, constantly shifting tempos, and dizzying polyrhythmic structures. Produced by Gojira's Joe Duplantier, the album's sound is punishingly heavy yet pristine, allowing the inhumanly precise and chaotic interplay between the instruments to remain clear. The band pushes its established style to new extremes of rhythmic madness while simultaneously incorporating a greater dynamic range, weaving warped melodic passages and even clean vocals between bursts of unrelenting aggression.
