Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking their first studio album of entirely new material in thirteen years, 'The Battle of Hastings' finds the Canterbury scene legends returning with a remarkably mellow, highly melodic pop-rock sound. The album largely abandons complex progressive instrumental passages, focusing heavily on Pye Hastings' gentle vocal delivery and breezy, acoustic-driven song structures. It serves as a relaxed, deeply nostalgic reunion for the veteran progressive pop act.
