Album Notes & Community Reviews
Functioning as their debut album, 'Ugly but Honest: 1996-1999' is a profoundly depressive and highly influential lo-fi slowcore record. Carissa's Wierd utilizes hushed, overlapping vocals and skeletal chamber pop string arrangements to convey a lethargic, deeply sad melancholia.
