Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following up on her monumental masterpiece 'Escalator over the Hill', Carla Bley delivered a surreal, highly eclectic excursion into experimental large-ensemble jazz. Featuring whimsical vocal performances from Julie Tippetts and incredible musicianship from Gato Barbieri, the compositions navigate complex avant-garde territory with bizarre, poetic charm.
