Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by her then-husband Nick Lowe, Carlene Carter's 'Musical Shapes' brilliantly bridges the gap between Nashville country traditions and the punchy, energetic aesthetic of the British new wave. The album's sharp, power pop sensibilities and Carter's spirited vocal performances made it a critical favorite and a pioneering roots-rock crossover.
