Album Notes & Community Reviews

Launching her incredibly successful solo career, Carly Simon's debut album instantly positioned her at the forefront of the confessional singer-songwriter movement[cite: 1]. Propelled by the massive success of the cynical ballad 'That's the Way I've Always Heard It Should Be', the record seamlessly integrates acoustic folk intimacy with polished pop orchestration[cite: 1]. It set a formidable standard for the introspective folk-pop of the decade[cite: 1].
