Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at Trident Studios in London with producer Richard Perry, this was the American singer-songwriter's major international breakthrough. The album perfectly polishes her confessional folk stylings with a lush, radio-friendly soft rock sheen, anchored by the legendary, mystery-shrouded anthem 'You're So Vain'. It dominated the Billboard charts for weeks, establishing her as a definitive voice of the 1970s singer-songwriter movement.
