Album Notes & Community Reviews

Working with acclaimed producer Arif Mardin, 'Spy' sees Carly Simon wrapping her deeply personal songwriting in sophisticated, slightly experimental studio textures. The album incorporates subtle disco inflections and intricate orchestral arrangements, expanding beyond her traditional folk-pop roots. Though commercially modest compared to her mid-seventies blockbusters, it is praised as a mature, highly nuanced artistic statement.
