Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring lush, meticulously overdubbed vocal harmonies and Richard Carpenter's sophisticated arrangements, the sibling duo's sophomore effort catalyzed their massive mainstream breakthrough. The inclusion of the Burt Bacharach-penned title track and 'We've Only Just Begun' firmly established their signature pristine, melancholic soft-pop aesthetic during an era heavily dominated by rock.
