Album Notes & Community Reviews

Californian troubadour Cass McCombs refined his enigmatic, literary approach to indie folk on 'Dropping the Writ'. The understated, meticulously arranged record is driven by his smooth, whispered vocal melodies and gently strummed acoustic guitars, occasionally bursting into upbeat pop-rock instrumentation.
