Album Notes & Community Reviews

The California songwriter's sophomore effort polishes his idiosyncratic, lo-fi beginnings into a slightly more accessible iteration of jangly indie pop. The understated tracks are built around bright acoustic guitars and McCombs's detached, deadpan vocal delivery, exploring themes of spiritual drift and American alienation.
